The integrated Research Training Group (“Graduate School”) provides a structural frame for the graduate education within MARIE. It focuses on interdisciplinary training of graduate students who are involved in MARIE.
The close connection between the training group and MARIE ensures that the graduate students are embedded in a highly active research environment encompassing different fields starting from the development of microelectronic devices via elaborating concepts of measurement systems up to applications such as creating material maps from measurement data. This interdisciplinary approach prepares them optimally for their later scientific work either in industry or academia.
The training concept includes i.e. the following elements: regular scientific seminars, presentation at international conferences and short-term scientific missions to international partner institutes outside MARIE.
